Meet the Staff

Kevin Hartnett

President

Kevin has been with Beacon for 18+ years. He is especially proud of the people who have worked with him at Beacon and feels like they are the best group of people he could ask for. Over the years he has worn many hats in the company but enjoys most interacting with Beacon's diverse customer base. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, basketball and is a big fan of the New York Knicks.
Tony Pusateri

Warehouse Manager

Tony has been with Beacon for 29+ years, keeping our warehouse running smoothly and making sure orders get out on time. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with family, reading, hiking and antiquing with his wife.
Joan-Marie Blunt

Customer Service Supervisor

JM has been with Beacon for 28+ years. She has loved her time at Beacon and is our in house expert on all thing supply related. JM is a self-described "Sports Mom" who loved watching her son play anything (especially wrestling).
Matthew Scher

Senior Manager - Service

Matt has been part of the Beacon team for more than 15 years. He enjoys working here because “it’s never boring” and loves the challenge of finding solutions to difficult problems. While Matt is our resident expert on many things, his specialty is software—and finding smarter, more efficient ways to get things done. Away from Beacon, he’s usually juggling several restoration projects at once, taking things apart, fixing them and putting them back together better than new. When he’s not rebuilding something, you’ll often find him out hiking and exploring a new trail.
Mary Hartnett

Purchasing Manager

Mary has been with Beacon for 8+ years. She enjoys being part of the team and feels like we're "more family than co-workers". On the business side Mary enjoys interacting with the diverse group of vendors she deals with on a daily basis. When she's not at home she enjoys piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. She's not much into health food, but she is into champagne... and walking her dog Tucker.
Jacki Mabey

Customer Service

Jacki has been part of the team for more than 21 years, joining Beacon in 2020 through the Creative Visual acquisition. She enjoys getting to know her customers personally and is our resident expert on Gerber and 3M products. Away from work, Jacki loves visiting Disney World, where her favorite rides are Guardians of the Galaxy and Kilimanjaro Safaris. She’s also a fan of Harry Potter (she's a Hufflepuff), Star Wars, The Hunger Games, the Marvel Universe and Alabama Crimson Tide football. Fun fact: Jacki played piccolo in Alabama’s Million Dollar Band and has maintained a vegetable garden for more than 20 years, inspired by her dad.
Sal Specht

Equipment Sales

Sal has been part of the Beacon team for more than four years, and his favorite part of the job is the people he works with every day. He started working in a sign shop at just 15 years old, making him our resident “How do we build this?” expert. As Sal puts it, sign making is “like arts and crafts for adults”—just with bigger tools and better materials! Away from Beacon, Sal is, in his own words, “a great football and basketball coach” and a die-hard New York Knicks fan. GO KNICKS! 🏀
Yuri Algarin

Senior Service Technician

Yuri has been part of the Beacon team for more than three years and says his favorite part of working here is that “it feels like working with family.” He specializes in servicing Mimaki and Mutoh printers and enjoys the challenge of working with—and learning about—the latest equipment. Away from Beacon, Yuri loves spending time with his family, whether they’re relaxing at the beach, exploring a park, working in the garden or occasionally heading out on a camping adventure.
Richard Mollo

Service Technician

The newest member of the Beacon Team, Richard has been here for less than a year. He enjoys being part of the team and is especially fond the the Mimaki UJ330H Hybrid printer which he calls the Ferrari of Printers. At home, Richard has two cocker spaniels (Ruby and Fred) and enjoys Photography, Aviation and Wildlife. Fun fact: Richard has flown a Helicopter!
Dave Veen

Warehouse/Production

Dave has been with Beacon for 21+ years. He most enjoys the comradery amongst the team at Beacon. At home, Dave is a huge "Toy & Movie Nerd", he plays the guitar, roots for the Jet and Devils, and loves his 4 furfaces. Fun fact: Dave's favorite food is Steak (or Chicken Parm)
Jim Hartnett

Partner

Jim has been a partner at Beacon for more than 18 years and says the best part of working here is being surrounded by such a knowledgeable and collegial team. Away from Beacon, he enjoys golfing, playing tennis, reading and tending to his backyard flock of chickens. He’s also a devoted Yankees, Knicks and Giants fan—but his true sports passion is Seton Hall men’s basketball, where he has held front-row seats for more than 25 years. When it’s time to eat, sushi and pasta are always at the top of his list.
